[Emacspeak] Re: Emacspeak on a ChromeBook

Absolutely, you can.
I've been able to get up and running by simply installing the Emacs, Emacspeak and Espeak packages from the Debian default repository using "sudo aptget install" command. Of course, you end up with rather outdated versions of each package but they seem to work together quite well without any additional modifications.

Hi all. I've found that you can use Emacspeak, inside the Debian Linux container on a Chromebook. You can use it with Voxin even, if you're running a non-ARM CPU. The speech is a little clipped at the beginning, but it's very responsive.
