Tim, The document you linked to suggests disabling rootless. Did you do this? This seemed a little drastic to me. I followed directions at: http://wikemacs.org/wiki/Installing_Emacs_on_OS_X It suggests removing the emacs that comes with OS X. I was not able to do this, so I put /usr/local/bin ahead of /usr/bin on the PATH variable. I'm happy with the way emacspeak is working, but I was just curious of how you actually built emacspeak.
