I can confirm that. The new sourceforge download interface is actually
 more easy to use than the previous one when using w3m. Choosing a
 mirror is optional and if you do so, you are returned to the list of
 downloads with all the links changed for that mirror. I use w3m-wget
 for the actual downloading.
